Why it works

Readers who trust the messenger trust the message

Our readers are homeowners, parents, business owners, police and community partners across Canada. They open the magazine and the alert feed because they care about where they live — which makes them exactly the customers a local business wants.

01

A one-page site you own

Your branding, offer, hours, map, contact and social links at /s/your-business. Indexed by Google. Share it on Facebook, WhatsApp and your Google Business profile.

02

Listed in the directory

Readers browse Community Supporters by city and category when they need a locksmith, a lawyer, an alarm company or a place to eat. Featured plans sit at the top of your city.

03

Supporter badge & QR card

A “Proud Community Supporter” badge for your own website and a QR shelf card for your counter. Customers see that you stand for a safer neighbourhood.

04

Print that stays on the table

The magazine goes to subscribers, offices, schools and community groups. A print ad is read in the waiting room, not scrolled past.

05

Your ad funds the alerts

Advertising pays for the missing-children alerts we run with MCSC, the fugitive alerts with the BOLO program, and the free police-sourced alert feed.

06

A real sales team

Named people in Edmonton and Ontario who answer the phone, build your ad with you, and send a proof before anything goes to press.

Questions

Before you ask

Who reads Crime Watch Canada?

Homeowners, parents, business owners, police and community partners who want to know what is happening where they live. The magazine has served corporate and community members across Canada since 2002, and the alert network reaches readers online in every province and territory.

Where is the magazine distributed?

Across Canada, to corporate and community members — print subscribers, organizations that take multiple copies, and community partners. Ask your sales rep about the reach in your city.

What does my money actually fund?

Advertising is how Crime Watch Canada pays for the missing-children alerts we run with the Missing Children Society of Canada, the fugitive alerts we run with the BOLO program, and the free, police-sourced alert network. Your ad keeps those services free for the public.

Can I change my page after it is published?

Yes, any time. Sign in to the supporter portal, edit your offer, hours, photos or contact details, and save. Changes are reviewed and live within 1 business day.

How long does approval take?

One business day. We check that the page is accurate, family-safe and not misleading. If we need a change, your rep will call you.

Do I need to design my own print ad?

No. Send us your logo and what you want to say and our layout team will build the ad and send you a proof for approval before it goes to press.

How do I cancel?

Plans are billed yearly and do not auto-renew without notice — we email you before the renewal date. Cancel any time from the portal or by emailing admin@crimewatchcanada.com; your page stays live until the end of the paid term.
